Career Profile

In playing ball, and in life, a person occasionally gets the opportunity to do something great. When that time comes, only two things matter: being prepared to seize the moment and having the courage to take your best swing." - Hank Aaron

Born in the UK, Matthew was raised on the sun-kissed sand of the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. The son of passionate property enthusiasts, many of his weekends as a child were spent at open homes with his mother and father, perusing homes on the Mornington Peninsula.  Through such endeavours, Matthew grew up with friends and family in the real estate industry, with property, market trends, and design central to most conversations.

A devoted equestrian, Matthew has ridden for most of his life, competing across Victoria originally as an Eventer, and more recently in Dressage. This afforded Matthew daily attendance at some of the most eminent acreage estates in Australia and sharpened his keen eye on what buyers look for, and where they look, for properties of this delineation.

Matthew has obtained a Bachelor Of Business with a major in Marketing, followed by a postgraduate qualification in Commercial Law. This fuelled a rewarding career in the Sales and Marketing Sector for Matthew, allowing him to pursue his passions in interior design, architecture, and landscape architecture outside of his corporate life.

With proven results in the sales process, as a skilled negotiator, and a vibrantly social and perceptive individual, Matthew made the decision to combine his passion for property, expansive network, and knowledge of the commercial landscape into his role at Peninsula Sothebys International Realty.

“Real estate is the intersection of emotion, investment, and financial strategy. Through ensuring all three aspects are serviced to the best ability, both vendors and purchasers can transact with confidence and satisfaction.”

With luxury at heart, and tenacious in nature, Matthew’s well-rounded approach to people and property make him a valuable asset to Peninsula Sothebys International Realty. A Mt Eliza local, and very familiar face, Matthew lives and breathes his work, but in his spare time, you’ll find him enjoying a crisp glass of white at a local winery, in the dressage ring on horseback, or socialising with his nearest and dearest.

“My days are spent with great people, discussing premier properties.  I love assisting both buyers and sellers through the various chapters of their property journey, and making the experience as smooth, enjoyable and fun as possible, while achieving first class outcomes. What more could I ask for?”
