I have sold properties Australia wide and also specifically in the Sorrento and Blairgowrie areas. I have had friends who have done similar in Portsea and Sorrento as well. Without doubt from the start Sothebys and Danielle in particular left the rest for dead! We received quotations from the original agent who sold us the property (over 20 years exp on the peninsula she told us) - quoted initially a reasonable figure (200k less than what we got) but then dropped it lower once we seemed to be interested. (WE WERENT!). So we asked for referrals from friends and Danielle was one that was highly recommended - it was stressed she will really work for her clients, knows her business and will maximise price and how a property is presented and sold.
Danielle was everything and more, she saw the potential we saw on our property and Danielle went in further and had two more staff from Sothebys have a look. All agreed and all saw what we did that was unique about our property - (NO OTHER AGENTS IN THE AREA DID!).
A price was set and although we thought it was ambitious, we were hopeful based on Danielles advice. We also (at Danielles suggestion) tested the market to see how developers would feel as well. We then proceeded to get photos done and got ready for market.
Well we had an offer before it was officially open. One client was so interested they drove down the day before it came up for an OPEN - an offer was made which Danielle initially knocked back before shortly after (like in the next 10 minutes) we were given the offer which we accepted which was well above our expectations (and right where Danielle said it should be).
So our recommendation - GO NOWHERE ELSE. If you are selling on the peninsula, forget the rest
DANNIELLE'S THE BEST - dont waste time and money elsewhere. These are the only ones i will ever consider in the future!
