Brighton’s streetscapes are dotted with impressive architecture. At the corner of Black and Carpenter Streets sits one of the area’s most distinctive buildings, designed by Merrylees Architecture & Interiors.
From the street, sculptural curves define the façade, breaking up the rigid geometry often associated with apartment buildings. Heavily planted surrounds by designer Jack Merlo further soften the form. These visual characteristics have made it our most-viewed property.
Inside ground-floor apartment 20A, the curves are more subtle. Rounded details appear in the bathroom vanities and soften the clean lines of the kitchen. Curved windows give you more of the view, and at the heart of the home, a fluid circular staircase is part sculpture, part passage.
